    Pricing Information

    OPEN SHOWINGS (Public screenings for an audience, with or without admission)

    Please apply for open showing prices. We charge a minimum guarantee film rental for showings to an open audience. When admission is charged, the rental fee could be a specified percentage of the gross receipts, or the minimum guarantee, whichever is greater. Discounts are available for multiple bookings.

    CLASSROOM RENTALS (Supervised screenings in conjunction with an official course, where no admission is charged)

    The classroom prices listed in this catalogue are available to those showing a film on 35mm, 16mm or DVD in conjunction with an official course and open only to those people officially enrolled (not more than 50).

    VHS AND DVD SALES

    Most of our titles are available for purchase by educational institutions such as colleges, public libraries, media centers, high schools, non-profit organizations, community groups, etc. The price indicated includes Public Performance Rights. For information regarding special public library rates, please call. Discounts are available for multiple orders.

    SHIPPING FEES

    Shipping and handling charges are $35 for 16mm, $65 for 35mm, and $6 for DVD. All films are shipped by FedEx Ground unless air shipment is requested at additional expense, or unless there is limited time between playdates.

    PUBLIC PERFORMANCE RIGHTS (Rights which allow screenings of DVDs for educational purposes)

    Public Performance Rights are included when you purchase DVDs from Zeitgeist at the price indicated on our website. These permit screening in a classroom or library or to a public group of less than 50 people when no admission is charged.

    If admission is charged or if the group is more than 50 people, please contact Zeitgeist for open showing fees.

    DVDs purchased from home video retailers or through our DVD Store do NOT carry Public Performance Rights. These may only be screened for private home use unless Public Performance Rights are purchased separately or an open showing is arranged.

    How to Order

    We advise that you book as far in advance as possible to receive your first choice of playdates. Each order will be confirmed by the receipt of an invoice which contains information and instructions for each rental.

    DVD copies of Zeitgeist titles can be ordered via phone, fax or email. A downloadable order form is available here.

    Payment

    • For classroom rentals and DVD sales we accept institutional purchase orders or pre-payment by check or major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express). Credit terms: Net 30 days.

    • For open showings the minimum guarantee plus specified shipping and handling charge must be received at least 14 days prior to your playdate unless otherwise agreed upon or an institutional purchase order has been provided. Credit terms: Net 30 days.

    Box Office Reports

    If you are charging admission please submit a written box office report by mail or fax to Zeitgeist within 24 hours of your screening. Indicate the total amount received for admission.

    Promotional Materials

    Photos and press kits for most of our films can be downloaded in digital format from our website by visiting the Press Room section.

    Posters, postcards and 35mm trailers are available to non-theatrical exhibitors for a small fee from Technicolor Cinema Distribution. Please contact customer service at 1-800-99-FILMS to order. Please indicate how you would like the material to be shipped (which carrier and which service). There is a 4:30pm pst cut off for shipments to be processed.

    Cancellations

    Provided that Zeitgeist receives written notification 14 days before the play date, any open showing may be cancelled. If Zeitgeist does not receive this notification in time, full rental, shipping and handling charges must be paid.

    Print Return

    Prints must be returned on the first working day following your showing. PLEASE CALL US FOR FORWARD SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS or email us. Films must be returned prepaid via FedEx Ground or similar trackable shipping service (insured for $700 for 16mm prints and $1500 for 35mm prints).

    Unless otherwise instructed, prints should NOT be returned to the Zeitgeist office. Under no circumstances may you ship any film via the United States Postal Service.

    Damaged Prints

    The exhibitor shall pay the cost of replacement of any print which is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed between the time of delivery to them and return to our depot, except while in transit according to Zeitgeist’s instructions.

No other distributor is legally authorized to rent, sell or lease these films in any non-theatrical or theatrical situation. Videotaping, or copying a film by any other means, is prohibited by law.
